Accurately finding network cable length, opens, and shorts is the bread and butter of many a business. The T3 Innovation SS200 Snap Shot does this perfectly, making it a….Snap. All bad puns aside, this lightweight (12ozs!) tester uses Spread Spectrum Time Domain Reflectometry to bring TDR technology into the 21st Century. To begin a length test, you would set the correct NVP value then plug in the cable or hook it to the included Alligator clips and hit Test. If the NVP value is not known you can manually calibrate it using the instrument by hitting the CAL button and inputting the length and the cable type. The large backlit LCD Display makes results easy to read, even for those Old Timers out there (You know who you are). This meter can also calculate distance to shorts or opens, and with the combined Tone Generator, you can easily trace the wire to find where the fault is located. The SS200 includes three different patch cables as well as two different jacks to accommodate most cable types.
