Hello all,

Today I will be discussing the Byte Brothers LVPRO3 Cable and Device Tester. Going into this assignment, I will be honest, I didn’t know much about this tester, but after doing my research, I have come to be a big fan. This tester crams up to 14 different test apps into one unit that can handle just about any job you throw at it.

First things first, let’s get the essentials out of the way,

  • Made and Manufactured in the USA
  • Winner of Best Tools and Hardware at the SIA 2013 New Product Showcase
  • Cable Testing for Voice, Data, Video, Alarm, and Speaker
  • Web Upgradeable (Add more Test Apps as you need them)

The LVPRO3 has many different applications. If you are installing cables or stereo systems, you can map your wall jacks or speaker setups as well as test the cable to make sure it is installed correctly. It can also locate Speakers with the Speaker Pop test that sends an audible signal to the speaker. If you install CCTV or Security Cameras over PoE you can detect CCTV signal and PoE Volts as well as use the Port Blink App to locate where a PoE device is plugged in. The LVPRO3 is a quality cable tester that tells you the wire pairs, length, distance to opens and shorts and can print nice test results using the available software in the LVPRO3. And get this … the tester is also capable of running a simple battery load test! To learn more about this unique tester or if you had an interest in a specific app, I would highly suggest visiting the Video Wall located on Byte Brothers website. Darrell (The speaker in the videos) does a great job of being clear and concise and conveys the information in an easy to understand manner.

That's all for me today. Feel free to leave me a question or comment.
