The Fieldpiece SMAN360 3-Port Digital Manifold has been discontinued.

Fieldpiece is never afraid to innovate and release products they feel will make a big splash in the HVAC industry. The SMAN360 is one of these innovations that will be welcomed I am sure. It is a redesign of the SMAN3 and it is jam packed with features.

Klein Tools continues its march in to the Test and Measurement segment with the new Commander Voice/Data/Video Cable Testers. This new meter is one the most technical meter Klein has offered yet. The new VDV501-828 and VDV501-829 Commander are full featured Cable testers that can locate, test and measure data, telephone, and coaxial cabling.

Dent Instruments has released the newest version of its PowerScout series of power meters. The new PS3037 are a series of single-point revenue-grade power meters that have four different configurations. There are two types of PowerScout 3037 models, one with the standard serial port, or one with a serial port and an Ethernet port. The other two configuration options are to get these units with or without a display screen.

The Ideal R158003 VDV Pro Cable Verifier is the latest and greatest in copper testing from Ideal Industries. The meter can handle Coax, 6pin, or 8pin connectors and has a large easy to read display. As expected, the R158003 VDV Tester can handle all the wire mapping needs for finding miswires, split pairs, shorts, or opens.

The SMAN460 is the newest digital manifold on offer from Fieldpiece. There is not much this manifold can’t handle, that’s for sure.

Every year we are reminded that Carbon Monoxide is a dangerous toxic by hearing news reports of people dying or getting sick and ending up in the hospital. Today I will be giving a brief review of the Bacharach Monoxor Plus Carbon Monoxide Analyzer. With this instrument, you can measure ambient CO as well as take direct flue measurements of CO in furnaces, gas appliances, or commercial boilers.

The residential combustion season is fast approaching and with it, the opportunity to put a spotlight on a residential combustion analyzer made by E Instruments, the BTU900-2. This is the latest and greatest from E Instruments for the Residential Combustion Analysis segment of the market. The BTU900-2 is the base kit and will feature many of the things expected from it plus a little bit more.

Today I will be reviewing the On Sale UEi KM940 Industrial Combustion Analyzer. This handheld analyzer comes with a power supply, water trap assembly, probe w/ hose, carrying bag, and owner’s manual. The base unit comes equipped with a CO (0-10,000ppm) and O2 (0-20.9%) sensor and can be upgraded with two additional sensors (NO (0-5,000ppm), NO2 (0-1,000ppm), SO2 (0-5,000ppm)).
