Measuring and recording Earth Ground Resistance is important to maintain an electrical system. The Amprobe GP-2A Earth Ground Resistance Tester is one such device that can handle these tests. Today I will be reviewing the Amprobe Solar-500 and Solar-600 Solar Analyzers. Like their name implies they allow you to analyze solar panels.
From basic maintenance, troubleshooting or efficiency testing, these two solar analyzers have you covered. If you are an installer, this is an especially important tool as it will help you calculate and determine proper inverter size as well as positioning of the solar voltaic cells for maximum output.
For today’s review I 
will be going over a classic Clamp Meter from Amprobe. The Amprobe ACD-51NAV is a CAT IV 600A TRMS Clamp Meter used for maintenance and spot checking purposes.
This unit measures up to 1000V and can handle power measurements as well as THD (Total Harmonics Distortion) and Individual Harmonics. The Navigator clamp allows for non-contact voltage detection as well as measuring Inrush currents.
The Amprobe AT-7030 Wire Tracer has been discontinued.

Amprobe has released the
new 300 series of Industrial Clamp meters. Today I will be reviewing the AMP-310 HVAC Clamp Meter which is the entry level version of this series. This model is CAT III 600V safety rated and features True-RMS for voltage readings you can depend on. Some useful functions for this meter in regards to HVAC specific testing are DC Microamps, Diode Test, Temperature readings via Type K Thermocouple slot, and Inrush Current measurement.
